Pssssst, Hey You! Wanna Buy a Kimono?
I have been desperately trying to get the kimono in our collection that we have no wall space left to display into permanent storage. In the process of doing so, and much hubby arm twisting on my part, we have decided to part with a few of them.
I have five uchikake (very ornate wedding kimono) and one furisode (ornate kimono with long sleeves worn by single women) that need to find a loving home. They all make the most beautiful works of art you will ever hang on your wall (we even have one suspended from the rod at the head of a pencil post canopy bed in the guest room), or the most unforgettable gift you will ever give. They are all different colors and range from iridescent pastels to vibrant jewel tones.
If anyone is interested, please contact me and I will describe what I have and take photos for you of any you might be interested in. The photos below are examples of the types of kimono I have, but are not actual kimono in my collection.
