New LongLocks ShimmerStix Enter Private Preview, Sell Like Hotcakes!
Thank you for a way awesome LongLocks style launch Collectors, you sooo made my week month!
My new LongLocks ShimmerStix hair sticks style went into private preview exclusively to members of the LongLocks HairSticks Collectors Club yesterday, and I am happy to report I can now commence with sighing with relief. It’s always stressful to offer a new style, I mean… what if nobody likes it? Yes, even after 14 successful years, I still entertain that possibility. Some things never change and have little to no chance of ever actually doing so, huh?
And successful it was! All the first editions of my hair jewelry sold, many special orders sold, one design is down to its last available single stick design, and one style sold out completely! (That last one would be the Heliotrope Shimmer design pictured at left). I’d say that is a very successful sneak peek. Much, much awesomeness! And we had lots of fun on the LongLocks Facebook page throughout the sale, too! Well, *I* had fun. Betsy Rubin may have had to put up with a little teasing so her mileage may differ, LOL!
As I usually do with sneak peeks for the Collectors, the new LongLocks ShimmerStix will remain in private preview just for them for a few days, and then I’ll invite the subscribers to LongLocksNews to join in. The new ShimmerStix will then make their public debut in the LongLocks HairSticks Catalog shortly afterward (which will then also include brand new hair stick designs to replace anything that happened to sell out beforehand).

Awwww, you are more than welcome! It’s fun on my end too, the more I get to know individual LongLocks’ fans, the easier it is to design their special order designs with their “name” on ’em ;)
I was also amused… Mostly. :p
But, the new sticks were well worth waiting for; they are beautiful! Now can’t wait for them to find their way to my house.
By the way, sure would like one made with the preciosa-sun-crystals. (Hint, hint, hint!)
It’s not my fault you’re so teasable, LOL! I’m confused… didn’t you get one with the Preciosa sun crystals or is my memory really that bad?
Yes, you’re right. They just look much more pink/orange in the picture of the loose crystals and more gold with some pink in the picture of the stick. Never mind!
Oh, they’re definitely more on the orange side than the gold, and the pink flash is all over! Again, it’s tough to bring the sparkle factor to life in a 2-d image ;)
