I agree with you! I don't want to rush anything.  Being fair to the new pup is very important to me.  I do want to meet this lady Gail though.  She can put a face to the voice on the phone and the application.  She and I are on the same page as being finding the right dog for the right person.  Time will tell.

This is a before(last Thurs. or Fri.) and this is today after a dry trim (I didn't get the DevaCurl cut because there are layers.  Layers,my hair and I DO NOT mix!)  I have very little DevaCurl Angel gel on the bottom and Re:Coil on the top,a little bit.  When I re wash and condition and add curl activator all should come together!

Ok, C and I got back from Park Slope.  Instead of getting a DevaCurl haircut(layers would make my hair poof something terrible!) I opted for a serious trim.  I think he took off anywhere from 4-7 inches! Shocked  I feel it is soooooo short!  I'll ask C to take a pic when he gets in from shopping.  The place was not wheelchair accessible, as I was told. Angry  They guy said if it was a real hassle for me he would come to the house Smiley.  That'll work for me.  Expensive for a dry trim though.   $45 without a wash and condish.  He did use alittle DevaCurl Angel gel though.  I have to get used to the length, or lack of! Sad  I told him that I wanted tailbone length or I had promised my Grandmother that I would "let it grow until it was 2 inches from the ground."  I figure if my hair will grow, I'd try for knee length.
I didn't get a chance to measure yesterday after washing, but I'd have to estimate anywhere between 36-37 inches.  I'll ask C to measure for me tomorrow or Sat.
Shock will set in alittle more later.

Well shock has set in and it's a doosie!!!  C measured my hair this morning after  I washed and conditioned.  I'm at...............................29 inches!!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked Sad Sad  I can't remember when I was at this length.. I gues I'm starting all over again.  I'm already dreaming of the day when I'm at tailbone length again!!!!  I miss my length!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh well, when it's got to be done, it's got to be done.  Ah so goes the slow procress............
I did do another good thing, I arranged for my power scooter and manual wheelchair to be donated to the MS Society.  I figure with the new wheelchair I can and should donate the other wheelchair.  The scooter was hard to do because I had it 5 years and it was a Golden Companion 3 wheel scooter that I broke my behind on for getting research on and to get the ins. co. to approve an expensive model.
I have a foldable power wheelchair that C bought me a couple of years ago and now the TiLite.  I just hope that these go to someone who really needs them.  That would make me very happy.
I finished sewing a pair of fleece fingerless gloves and am crocheting another pair of camo colored fingerless gloves.
C helped me make crab cakes tonight with Lemon Veganaise Sauce.  I modified the recipe alittle by substituting the mayo with Veganaise and Egg Replacer for the egg.  I used Matzoh meal in place of the bread crumb.  I didn't have time to make whole wheat bread crumbs so I used the Matzoh.  They came out pretty good except they needed to bake longer than the 10 minutes that the recipe called for.  C liked them.  That made me happy  Cool.  I think tomorrow I'll make vegan oatmeal banana muffins.........

I know 29" is a shock to your system, but just keep breathing, sweetie.  You know it grows back.   Wink  I think it's a great decision to donate the old chairs--good idea.
Would you mind providing a link to your Etsy store?  If you don't want to post it here, would you send me a pm?  Thanks!

I'm kinda getting used to the 29 inches! Shocked  I also like the DevaCurl products and the Re:Coil.  If I could have the curl definition at 40 inches that I have at 29 inches, well all would be good then! Cool
My store can be found on www.etsy.com site under the drop down memo for sellers under Curlgirl64.  Thanks for asking! Wink There are a few crocheted hats, fingerless gloves etc.

C and I went to "Meet the Breeds" at the Javitz Center today.  All went well going there on Stress-A-Ride and coming home,THANK GOD!!!!!!  Usually I have a problem with them picking me,not showing up or lying and telling dispatch I was a "No Show".  We were there before 10am and the pick up guy was way early so we got to go home early.  Saw alot of breeds, both dog and cat.  Even ran into the lady that groomed my dog.  It was good to see her.  She is still looking out for me for a bichon that needs a home.
All in all it was a good day!
Just getting ready for my mom coming in for a visit and then I'll go back with her for a week!  Now I'm bushed so I'll see ya'll later!

I think I totally drained myself yesterday! Roll Eyes  I started with cleaning the dishes in the kitchen sink( men know how to mess up!)  Actually when I need help, C is really good.
I put coffee on,fed and watered the cat,fed the birds and then sat down to eat breakfast.
Dusted all the floors, steam cleaned all the floors and then put Floor Restorer on the parque floor in the living room, steam cleaned the bathroom floor.  Did a load of laundry, hung that up.  C came home and made me fish, veggies and brown rice.  I got the bright idea to make Vegan Apple Crisp before the hockey game!  I was in bed by 9:30  Cool.
Mom is coming in today!  I'll see her around 1:30 and then she's off to NJ to see one of her friends.  She'll be back for my birthday, sleep over and then off to see my sister and BIL until the 25th.  She'll come back to me,sleep over and we're off for a 7am flight on the 26th! Cool Shocked  C and I have our 2nd wedding anniversary on the 24th,my birthday on the 22nd.  While all this is going on I'll try to do laundry and pack!!!!  I think I need 2 more arms!

As we get closer to Sunday, I keep thinking fondly  of all the friendships I've made here, knowledge I've acquired and ( I hope) help and guidance I have given  to all my long haired ( and short haired) sisters.
This is only the closing of one of our ways to communicate with eachother.
You can p/m me before Sunday if anyone wants to exchange e-mails! Smiley
I wish you all; the best of health, healthy hair growing, peace and serenity.
