Thanks!  The statue is Nymph with Scorpion, forgot artists name.
I went ahead last night and ordered 2 cassia kits from her and will give them a try.
There's a pic on the site showing application that divides the sections all the way across the back of the head which I plan on trying next time.  Currently I divide my whole head in two (like when making pig tails) and divide each into 4 sections.  I think going all the way across might be easier, I'd just need bigger clips.
Please let me know how it works for you when you do your roots!

It's been very lonely here without Shasta.  I've found a few rescue ads on PetsFound.com and other sites.  One pup I was pre-approved for,but he's in NJ and where the lady wants to meet up is 2 hours away from me! Undecided Roll Eyes  The pup would have been perfect for me,too!  Another lady is fostering a girl who is 6 years old in NYC.   Much closer to me,but I keep sending e-mails to her to find out if she got my application and I can't even get an answer to that!! Angry  Maybe I have to wait until Nov. when I come back from visiting Mom. Roll Eyes  This might be a sign to wait  Tongue
I the meantime, I've been practicing learning how to play my Native American Flute.  Since my right hand doesn't have the dexerity it once had, I'm facing challlenges that I didn't think would happen while trying to learn. Angry  So for an early wedding anniversary present C asked tme to pick out another flute.  So after alot of research again.... I decided on a Sparrow Flute in the key of A,made out of walnut with turquoise inlays/stones.  It's about 19-20 inches.  Alittle smaller than my Littleleaf flute in key of F#.  This new flute might be easier to learn on.  It is made by Odell Borg who puts out High Spirits Flutes. I've been making flute bags for my flutes and that has not been a bad thing.  I bought a padded case from Odell about 2 weeks ago just in case I want to travel with my flute,it's protected from bangs and falls. Cool  I had also gotten Odell's beginner DVD for Native American Flutes.  I like it very much.  I think this new flute will be easier to practice on. Cool.  It'll be here in about a week, depending on UPS.  Hey their turnaround time is better than USPS! Roll Eyes
Been also experimenting with different ingredients for  the vegan banana bread.  One more experiment with the flour and I'll call it done! Grin  The last one came out really good, according to C!  I used Agave instead of Brown Rice Syrup.  This time I want to use mostly whole wheat flour and less of another flour.  Fingers crossed!

I know what you mean about lonely.   I waited about 6 mos before getting Shadow, who is cute and cuddly.  I came home between classes yesterday to take a nap and after keeping me awake for 30 min, he finally curled up against my back under the covers and we both went to sleep.  Right now I am trying to keep him from chewing on my boots.  Or walking on the keyboard.  I keep having to correct the looooooooong typos.  Smiley

I am sure you will master the flute and be very musical.  Have fun with it!

With Fall approaching(sooner rather than later, if I have a say so!) I re-opend my Etsy store and have crocheted items listed at the MS Shoppe.  I'm excited and hope that with the Fall and Winter coming items will sell  I have alot more pictures to take and items to list at both places.  That should occupy me for a while  Cheesy!  I did sell another skull cap on the MS Shoppe site so I'm happy with that.  On other topics............
Hopefully my flute is in transit and I will have two flutes to alternate between.  Practice is going ok.  I think I'll be ready to move onto either more scales or simple songs soon  Cool.

Thanks! Kiss
I can't wait to get it!   I really need to practice on another flute so I can practice for more than 15 minutes at a time.  After that amount of time, flutes get "wetted out" and you have to let them dry out for about 8 hours.  I haven't experienced it yet,but I do notice a change in the sound so that tells me the flute needs to dry out.
I really think it will help me with the healing process.

My new flute came on Wed. and it is a beautiful work of art!!!  Odell Borg certainly is a talented flute maker!  Will try to practice tonight.  C says my scales are sounding better as time goes on.  It sure is different from playing piano.
I've been posting some things at my Etsy store and trying to get more things together to post.  I just have to prep the dressform and take pics.
I've been sewing eyeglass cases for my sister who is going to Ireland for her 10 year wedding anniversary.  She got married on my birthday and my wedding anniversary is two days after my birthday.  She and I are born the same month a year apart. Cheesy
C and I are going to some friend's house for a BBQ tomorrow.  I made vegan Snickerdoodles and C is making potato salad and macaroni salad.  Both will be vegan.  I've got mixed feelings about this because there is going to be a couple there, M and L.  M is a nice guy,but L is a different story.  C and I heard that L is planning to make a big scene at our mutual friends house at some friend of hers that will be there.  Talk about nerve and lack of class!!!! Undecided  I really don't want to see this fiasco,if there will be one.  I don't need the stress so I may or may not go.  If it's stressful and causes me to maybe have an exaserbation.........heads will roll!!!! Angry I don't know why they, (the friends that are throwing the BBQ) even invited her.  The husband doesn't want her there, but the wife is friends with L.  I hate drama  Angry !
Knowing me, I'll have to do what's best for my health.  If I think it'll be drama and screaming and god knows what else,I won't go..................

Looks like I didn't have tomake the decision to leave after all.  When C saw M (L's husband who is C's close friend),we said hello and made our way to the front door.  At the front door was D,L's intented target of mass destruction.  L was outside talking and messing around with one of the kids.
We were there 2 hours, had eaten some of the things that were out and poof! we were leaving.  C didn't want a confrontation with L because he said he would say some pretty colorful things to her if she started.
As it so happend, as we were making out way down the front stairs, L said,"hello C and Kelly.  Are you leaving and ignoring me?"  L thinks everything revolves around her or it should revolve around her  Roll Eyes.  I don't have patience for people like that.  Never did.  So we were gone...........
Since C had to work today, I doubt he has spoken to the couple that were throwing the BBQ to find out what happened.  We'll find out later.
I've been making eyeglass/sunglass cases for my sister for her trip to Ireland and crocheting her a pair of fingerless gloves in black.  Black is tough on the eyes so I'll call it a night!  I've done 5 cases and will make another style of gloves for her.....I need to be done before the Giant's football game comes on tonight Tongue!

Had C mail out the package for my sister because I had to wait for UPS to come with my meds.
I went alittle overboard with the things for my sister. Embarrassed  I wound up making her a pair of wrist warmers,a pair of fingerless gloves, both in black; 5 sunglass cases in various patterns.  I broke two double needles on my serger though Sad Angry.
Tonight I'm trying different crochet patterns for bun covers.  I'm not finding anything I like or is big enough. Sad  No biggie, it'll work out eventually.
The sales rep for the provider that works with TiLite called and we scheduled an appt. next week for him to bring me my new TiLite!!  I'm so stoked!  Since May I started working on getting this and finally it's ready!  It was ordered on Aug.23rd so I guess it makes sense taking so long because it has to be custom made out of titanium.  I wanted to get my chair in a light pink or purple with black details, but since pink wasn't available in the titanium style, I chose Scarlet Ice with black details.  I can't wait to see it!
In other areas..........my second flute is working out very well.  I practiced scales today for alittle while and it's slow  because of my MS symptoms aggravating my right hand, but at least for now I can work with it.
C is working tonight for a few hours so it's quiet, but maybe too quiet without him here.
I also got my auto delivery from QVC the other day.  Wen's Fig Conditioner set.  I am cancelling that.  I'm not pleased with this formula either at all.  I'm also thinking a major cut is either needed (like 4 inches) or a really good deep conditioner.  I washed my hair with this Fig formula yesterday and used some Almond Mint Deep Conditioner by Wen, left it in to sleep with.  Rinsed it out this morning in the shower and let it air dry.  Totally not happy at all.  Frizz is an understatement  Angry.  I'm at my wit's end with what the weather is doing to my hair!!!!!!!  I may get desperate and try that Pantene formula for frizzy hair.  Or  just make up some deep conditioner recipe and take it from there.  I might just load my hair up with conditioner tonight and braid it.

Thanks for the suggestion!  They are on my list to try!  (We curlies are on the same page  Wink )  I have them in my basket on Curlmart.com.   Only problem is that I have too much in the basket to choose from!  (Note to self- Don't act like a kid in a candy store!  There are only problems there!! Roll Eyes )

Yay!  I hope you love it like I do.  I don't care for Re:coil, though.   I think its because I'm wavy and not curly curly like you.
