Eating healthy is the first step to growing long hair.  A basic multi-vitamin is always good.  Some other supplements that might help include MSM, biotin and silica.

I take a regular, off the shelf hair/skin/nail supplement and I think it helps a lot!  A prenatal vitamin is also great for growing healthy hair, as is eating your recommended dosage of fruits and veggies.  I've noticed the healthier I eat, the better my hair looks and feels.

Prenatal vitamins are about the same as regular vitamins, except for the price. Save your money and read the labels.

If there's a particular vitamin you want more of, they're available individually.

Pregnant women's hair grows faster because of hormones, whether or not they take special vitamins.

Since there's already a thread about vitamins I thought I'd post here instead of making a new thread. Now, I know a lot of you take vitamins in addition to a healthy diet to help keep not only hair, skin and nails healthy, but also the rest of your body. I've been taking a pretty basic vitamin with all sorts of basic things in it, but I think i'd like to try something different. I'd be open to any suggestions that might be available.
