Brown Sugar Scalp Exfoliate

Going to try this tonight.  I have tried plain granulated sugar before, but not mixed in anything.  not sure if brown sugar makes a difference or not, but we will see!

I tried this lat night after doing an Avocado Mask http://www.longlocks.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?num=1262829995/0#2

I did 2 TBS brown sugar to 1 TBS white granulated sugar. and then about 1-2 TBS of conditioner.  I don't think I will do this with the brown sugar again becuase it dissolves in my hair too quickly, and didn't give me much time to exfoliate.  I think I will stick with white sugar, or at least do more white sugar to brown sugar ratio next time.

I suggest working in small patches.  I tried to put it all on and then work it in, but it dissolved immediately.  I would slap a handful and then work it, then slap another handful and work it, and so on.

I'd like to try this with Raw sugar, bc of the big coarse crystals.  That stuff is $$ though so not sure when I will be willing to try it  Tongue

That looks interesting!

I'm not surprised that the brown sugar dissolved faster. Most commercial brown sugar is simply white refined sugar mixed with a bit of molasses to make it brown again.

Demerara sugar is sugar in a raw-er state than white sugar. Does your store sell that for any cheaper than "raw" sugar? Sugar-in-the-Raw, I know, is usually quite expensive.
