Saw this video and thought it was interesting!  I have a spare avocado in my fridge so I might try this!

Well, I tried this last night!  I warmed it slightly in the microwave before applying it, and you probably want to do this in the shower because this stuff gets EVERYWHERE!  I had chunks of avocado all over the place!

I only had time to leave it in for 30 minutes, which I don't think was long enough because I really don't see too much of a difference today.  It IS soft, but I can't tell if that's just from my regular shampooing and conditioning or from the mask, so I guess time will tell in a few days.

It was very easy to wash out, had no problems.  After I rinsed it out of my hair I tried a Brown Sugar Exfoliate http://www.longlocks.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?num=1262831365/0#0 and then washed and conditioned as normal, and rinsed with cold water.

The recipe looks sound to me.  Smiley

I'll have to give it a try once my current conditioner runs out. I'd probably skip all the mixing and stuff and just use a blender, though.  Grin

Did you know that avocado oil is one of the other oils besides coconut that can penetrate hair? And I've never heard of avocado oil giving people protein issues like coconut oil.  Smiley
