Sorry to hear that!  Can you boil and strain your water and then let it cool before using it?  I know that sounds like alot of work,but maybe worth a try!   An ACV rinse couldn't hurt.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I think will try the vinegar rinse and look for a filter for the shower.  My only question is that I dye my hair very dark brown using permanent color (hate my natural color -- anemic mouse brown with ash tones, looks gray in certain lights and makes my skin look yellow), will the vinegar do anything to my color?
