Do you use any products with protein in them?  An excess of protein will cause brittle hair and I have heard the hairspray can compound it.  ACV rinses might not be enough to clarify the goop off your hair.  You might try a clarifying shampoo to see if that does the trick.  Then do a heavy conditioning to replace the lost moisture.  Hairspray is alcohol based and will dry out the hair.

I don't usually recommend ACV rinses with clarifying shampoos.  I'm always afraid it will be too drying to the hair.  But conditioning after clarifying is a must.
