I have 2 months, 2 weeks and 2 days until my mid-back goal! (according to my ticker!) Thought it must be good luck because I know that 2 is a lucky # for the Chinese
Where is everybody else at?

Congrats, waiting4longlocks.
Technically, I'm about an inch away from BSL, but it will actually need to be about 3 inches longer to look like its at BSL when dry.

Huh.
I just saw a "lucky cat" thingamabob in a Chinese restaurant today. I couldn't stop staring at it. It was gold with Chinese writing on it and it's left arm kept waving up and down.
My hair is at midback, but I'm still waiting for it to actually
look
midback when styled...and dry.
Currently, it looks just a bit longer than bsl.

My hair is technically below shoulder length in the back now but it looks shoulder length because it flicks out at that "stupid" length.

Oh, Drear, you've hit one of those lengths that are annoying until it grows past. I think these are the hardest times to resist cutting. We want it to look good while its growing, right? You'll get through it and then its like a sigh of relief and happiness about the new styles you can do with the new length!!! Be patient!! (((hugs)))

Congrats on being so close to your goal, Waiting.
Lately, I'm about 3½" away from my long term goal of waist length, but I'm going to do a lot of cutting, so it will take awhile to actually
get
there.

Hi W4LL, I am almost mid-thigh (fingertip) but I am not sure how much longer I am going to grow. I am having an attitude now. I have about 5 inches till I get to my knees which was an all-time goal for me. Lately I have been going back and forth about that. I have a lot of hair. I have been cutting off damage this summer, so I dont know if I will let gain any more length (let it continue to grow). I am actually liking it here.

Hey LD, at least yours almost looks like it's at your goal. My goal is tailbone (then maybe classic) and it's only at midback. But if it were straight.... that's a different story.

Callisto... tail-bone length curls sounds BEAUTIFUL! I love your curl pattern, it's so defined & will look amazing that length.

Agh, mine is at my waist, but now I've realized I have to cut the ends! I haven't had a trim for a while... aww.
Growing out curls must be awful! But curls do look gorgeous most of the time.
And I agree, tail bone curls would be stunning!

Hi! Long time since I posted last.
I did a 5" cut this summer. Got lovely, thick, healthy ends. Then found out it wouldn't bun so well as the thick ends were all in one clump and I couldn't secure them
As my hair is slowly growing out some more, the updos are getting easier again
Anyway, I did make it to waist length, maybe a little more before I cut it. So now it is between mid-back and waist.

Welcome back Precious! Congrats on hitting waist length before your cut. I'm sure the updos will get easier as it grows - I've had the same issue when I've done big cuts too. One trick I've used - do a couple of french braid plaits before starting the rope for your bun. This will redistribute the length a bit and make the ends easier to work with.

Thanks for the idea BB. I'll have to see if I can be that coordinated early in the morning
. It's been about 3 months since I cut it, so it is beginning to get better already.
