2 Questions; I'd love your advice!

Hi Smiley I am new and really liking it here.
Anyway, I have 2 questions for you all:
1) Which book would you get?
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/customer-reviews/0761123008/ref=cm_cr_dp_all_to...
or http://www.powells.com/cgi-bin/biblio?isbn=9780609808375&atch=h&atchi=132871474
(or would you instead utilize this forum and not spend money on either?)

2) Which satin cap would you get?
http://www.amazon.com/Satinette-Satin-Sleep-Cap-White/dp/B000172S2A or http://www.headcovers.com/moreinfo.php?id=11091?
The important thing to keep in mind here is that I am a guy and I do not want to be too fussy with my hair (like if i am awoken in the middle of the night or something and here I'm wearing this huge lacey nightcap... haha).
(or would you just not get a nightcap? I was looking into nightcaps because I don't want a satin pillowcase...cos I don't want to wash it every 2 days and this is the only way I'd have one.)
So...yeh tell me what you think.

Thank you!

Hello, I am fairly new also Smiley

I am more of an admierer of long hair than an expert on the subject so I am sorry that I really can't answer your questions.

I hope you have a nice weekend Smiley

ok I caved and bought: the curly girl handbook (even though I am not a woman, but there really arent books like that for men!! I guess Im a curly girl...haha)
and i got the blue headwrap, not the crazy English looking lacey frilly SHOWGIRL satin sleep cap. Smiley
I know a lot of you are all about satin pillowcases, but Im sorry, Id rather have a headwrap because I can break out if I sleep on the same surface every night. I use a towel on the top of the pillow for one night, flip it for the second, and then next towel!
Thanks people, sorry I have been all questions and im NEW but Smiley you know I am figuring stuff out.
Also, I just got the Terressentials Lavender hair mud/wash, and am excited to try that! Ill let you all know

Hi Yaku nice to meet you!

I heard the curly girl book is really good!  How long is your hair?  We would love to hear more about it, color etc.
One thing I use for my curls that I like is Ojon restortive treatment, just a dab will do ya'  After I wash and all I gently comb then ap-ply the Ojon to the lenght only and let hair air dry. Cool

Hi, Yaku!  I totally recommend the book you bought, and I am a curly girl.  I've been using the techniques in the book for nearly a year and my hair consistently looks great!

As for the sleep cap, thanks for the link to headcovers!  I'm thinking of trying one of theirs-I sleep on silk pillowcases but as my hair gets longer my concern is of sleeping on it and these caps may be my answer.

Welcome to LongLocks!!
