Okay, occasionally my stripes are cool.   I have had my hair in a bun most of the day (job interviews).  Actually it was sort of a cheater bun with a claw clip but it looked good with my dress.

Anyway, when I got home I decided to experiment with putting the bun up higher.  As I twisted my hair the stripes did a sort of swirl effect like ice cream.  And since it is the front six inches, vanilla rather than lime sherbert.  

I would take a picture but I have no idea where my camera is.

Hubby got a job in Waco (yes, think Branch Davidians; they're still there by the way and they have a new leader) and so I am looking there as well.

Interviewed for an administrative position, which is what I what, but geez, what a school!  There is actually a sign, visible from the school windows, marking the neighborhood as a high drug, high crime area.  The school is 50% African American and 46% Hispanic, and I am neither.  I don't think I got this job.

I have another interview tomorrow.  Don't know if I'm going to do the "ice cream hair" thing or not.  

That ice cream effect sounds cool! I've got similar stripes in my buns and braids, just different colors(dark brown and light auburn)  Instead of ice cream, I've got tiger stripes   If you do find your camera, I'd love to see pictures!
