OK, so I've got pics of 2 of my new hairtoys from Indonesia, and 2 new hairstyles.
I normally would not wear a french type barrette, but on top of my bun it doesn't pull.  I couldn't resist-black, silver and butterfly.  It was also on sale 

Clips with rhinestones were very popular when we were there-I got several but this is the first pic...

Now for the new do's.  I was needing to get my hair out of my face to eat and didn't have a clip handy.  I started french braiding the top half of my hair and flipped the braid up and secured with Amish pins.  Later I took the hair that was down and made a small bun.  This is the result.

These black Swingstix are one of my most favorite pairs.  To make this bun, make a pony using a hairfriendly elastic-make it a little loose.  From the bottom of the pony reserve some hair to make into accent twists.  Take the remaining hair and twist into a regular bun, pin into place.  Divide the reserved hair into two sections and twist each of them.  Take the twists around the bun and secure with pins stacking the twists on top of each other if your hair is long enough.

Thank you, Lisabelle.  Those earrings are one of my most treasured pair.  When hubby and I were dating he brought them back for me from Bali.  He has really good taste in jewelry.  Lucky me!!
