Just woke up with another dream.
Apr 9th, 2006 at 5:08pm

Greetings again.

My halucinating antihistime pills finally produced a meaningful dream. I'll share the brief plot and the severed (not hair) ending, which I guess I'll have to make up later....

I was a knight in love with the princess who had black hair to long lengths. (real surprise here, eh?) I was given a sword by a wizard and told: "If you do a good deed in the eyes of the princess, this sword will cut once, but if you try again in succession, it will not cut. If you can cut with this sword five times in a row, the princess' heart is yours to persue."

He directed me to a sapling. I tried to whack the sapling, but the sharp sword would not cut. He vanished, leaving me alone. A batallion of soldiers passed with slaves carrying the princess in a cart on their shoulders, so I followed.

I'm going forward here a bit. The bataloin is involved in defending the princess from bandits. Somehow, I had earned the right to stroke four times with my sword but the fifth was in vain.

Next scene has me whacking at everything I see. I do what I think are more good deeds, but can't seem to get that fifth stroke.

We're escorting the princess across a river. I notice one of her slave carriers slips and falls, thus being swept down the river. It looks as the princess will fall into the river as well! So I quickly take the place of the fallen slave to right the princess' cart and finish carrying her across the river to safety.

Now the ending....

In this act, I lost my sword. I look at the sheath and it is empty!!! Shocked

"How will I earn the princess' heart?" I moan.

"I guess I never will". the dream ends.

Could be an interesting storyline. Think I should continue it?

Sounds interesting.  What do you think the symbolism of the 5 cuts represents?

I have no idea why it is five cuts. I seem to spend the entire dream getting to the point the wizzard required, which was five.

Always almost there, never reaching it. I wonder if anyone else has these types of dreams. Almost at goal, never reaching, no matter how hard you try..... I have many of these. Thought it relevent here since the princess was a Kirby Ann look-alike with flowing black hair.

I had another dream that involved Kayla and Kirby Ann going through a portal of some kind and Kayla got lost. It wasn't well developed and very short. I think I was Kirby Ann in the dream cause I was looking for Kayla. Pretty much it. There wasn't a plot on which to build a story. I had a few of these short meaningless dreams this weekend.
