This beautiful place
Mar 19th, 2006 at 12:37pm

As a newbie, I'd like to say how much visual pleasure I get from this website.  The artwork that is displayed throughout is so beautiful and looking through the postings, there's so much artistic talent in evidence!  I feel like I'm in the company of very creative people when I'm here. Smiley

Ahh, yes, this is a beautiful place, isn't it?  In more ways than one, mostly because of all the beautiful people that comprise it.  Cheesy

A place is only as beautiful as it's imhabatants. You all are goddesses. And tolerant for letting a rodent live in the house with the graceful rapunzel goddesses.

Not only is there such astounding beauty, but also such a feeling of peace.

----- Having a Halmark moment here------

Ever go outside during a snow event in the early AM hours? Everything is covered in pure white. Everything is so quiet and peaceful. Almost seems Mother Nature takes a break and rests under all that new snow. That's the feeling of peace.

This year, we had such an event on Christmas morning. It started about 2 am and snowed till about 5am. Of course, I spent this time outside enjoying the peace and the view of the lit Christmas display in the snow.

How surprised were the little ones to go to bed Christmas eve with nothing on the ground and wake up to a beautiful blanket of white snow on Christmas morning!

To bad it only lasts a short time before the plows come and the snow on the streets gets dingy.

I love to stand outside during a quiet snow storm. (Not the wind blowing, blizzard types, however).  You are so right - the quiet peacefulness is inspiring.

You poor, deprived baby!  Cry  Some day you MUST get yourself somewhere when it is snowing so you can experience a snowflake landing on your nose or eyelashes.  The quiet peacefullness that can exist during a snowfall is something everyone should experience at least once in their life.  Cheesy

Winter, believe it or not, is what keeps me in Minnesota.  I love all 4 seasons, but winter is something special.

Or you could come to Finland...spring is late this year and we still have lots of snow even here in south.

About this place...what can I say? I've been here for almost 1½ years, every day. This is the comfiest place in the whole wide web. *grouphugs*

I could not agree more with Galadriel and everyone.  This board is such a comforting place to be and to share.  I look forward to being here everyday.  Every being here is beautiful and it shows in the artwork, poems, pics and open hearts, there's no superficiality(new word? Undecided)  Definately big group hug! Smiley
