Here's my hair.  I washed it this morning and let it dry by itself, like I always do.

If I could have a different head of hair for one day, I would choose yours.  It rocks.

Very nice. It looks like mine. My hair used to be that color, but I dyed it a while back. From the back, we could be hair twins!  Cheesy

Hahah, Anais read my mind.  The first thing I thought was "spun gold".

Thanks for your compliments.  Is "spun gold" the color?  That picture was taken in the sun which is the best light for hair, I think.  It was near sunset too, so the gold color was enhanced by that.  It does have some natural highlights though.  I also have to be sort of careful to keep the curls.  If I mess with it much, it straightens out a lot.
          Thanks again for your comments.

I don't know if "spun gold" is a color that is commonly used to describe hair like "blonde" or "brunette".  But it's a term that is commonly used in literature to dramatically describe hair.

I think it originated from a fairy tale of a girl who could spin straw into gold using a spinning wheel.  It magically turned into a fine golden thread (I imagine it was probably something that looked like silk.)

Indeed yes...Rumplestiltskin.  Grin

If I had a nickel for every time I've gotten the "spun gold" comment. Only for fine-haired people...well...my screen name says it all.  Wink

Your colour is very similar to mine, bcwyatt. Is it natural?

Yes, it's natural.  Are there pictures of your hair on the board somewhere, Angel Spun?

Sadly no, for I am currently without the means.

I have actually avoided having my picture taken as much as possible for the past few years, given that my hair is not the length that it once was. *sigh*
But I am beginning to rethink that now, because I have heard that photographing your hair as it grows provides another visual incentive to grow it longer.

When I again have the technology to post pix, I may do so. Just...don't hold your breath.  Wink
