Modified Gibson?
Oct 27th, 2005 at 2:37am

There have been a couple mentions of this hairstyle recently.  Can anyone tell me how to do this?  Post pictures?  I am planning a turn of the century dress and I would love to be able to put my hair up in an appropriate style when it is finished.

Thanks! Smiley

Thank you!  I searched for an hour last night and did not find anything. Wish I could stay home and play with my hair now though. Wink  I am going to have to try this over the weekend.

Usually, I prefer to have my hair done professionally when period styles are in order.

If you are very adept at doing your own hair, you shouldn't need to, but just in case...

You may want to check around the different salons in your area to see if anyone specializes in Gibson styles. Or find pictures in a magazine and show them to different sylists, asking, "Could you do something like this?" Just try not to choose a style that is too complicated or you could go home with either a rat's nest or a beehive!  Tongue
