Kimberlily's leave-in spray

My hair really likes this...

1 tbsp jojoba oil
1 tbsp aloe juice (not the green gel, but the stuff at Whole Foods that you can drink... you can also use juice squeezed from the plant)
1/2 cup spring water
essential oils of your choice

Pour all ingredients into a spray bottle. Add essential oils for scent (though this mix has no odor to speak of, so the EO's aren't necessary if you don't want them). Shake well, and spritz on hair.

I use this after washing my hair as a detangler, as well as to freshen up my hair between washes. I also use it on my 3-year-old daughter's hair instead of storebought detangler. It keeps my hair from being frizzy, and takes some of the "poof" out too. It also defines my waves a bit, which is an added bonus!

Hmmmm, I don't think I've ever seen aloe juice - just the gel.  I may need to go hunting for this.

You can get the juice at Whole Foods or other natural food stores. It is actually called aloe gel, and I buy the Lily of the Desert brand. It is about $3 for 400ml. The one I get is 99% pure, and has almost no additives. It needs refrigeration after you open it.

Hope that helps! Smiley

Thanks.  I'll see if I can find it this weekend.  I've been trying to find something to help tame some of my halo/frizzies - this just might do the trick.  I've used the aloe gel for a stronger hold, but don't always need that much control.  A light spray is all I think I really need.

The whole reason I concocted this was to deal with frizzies and give my waves some definition. I didn't change anything else about my routine. I think the photos I posted probably show how well it is working for me Smiley I hope it works for you too!

Wow your hair looks awesome. I too have problem with frizzies, especially after washing my hair. I think I will try this and cross my fingers that it will work.

Give it a try... if you've already got jojoba and aloe on hand, you really have nothing to lose Wink It costs about $0.25 a bottle to make!

The aloe juice will cost you between $3 and $4. You can also add it to your conditioner. Aloe is VERY moisturizing Smiley

That's some awesome "hair witchery". The photos you posted really show a marvelous difference. Gonna have to try this when I get back home. Thanks!
