hair glove

I have been hanging around Long Locks for a long time. I really love to read about hair care and new ideas. I learned a lot from you guys, thanks!
My hair is a bit longer than bra strap length and it is wavy, and I find puting my hair up in any way hurts my scalp. I tried everything, every style, and found the very best, most comfortable and nice looking way to protect my hair and also keep it under control. Its the HAIRGLOVE line of hair  products
The line can be found under HairGlove.com . I prefer the Cycle Line and the Western line of hair gloves. I found they are soooo comfortable and look great, too!  they have  2 inch, 4 inch, 8 inch, and even 20 inch hair gloves. My favorite in the 8 inch, cut out cycle line lace up hair glove.
Has anyone else tried the hairgloves?

Hi Sandy! Thanks for posting that review of the HairGlove. I've seen their website and they look really cool. I should probably get one myself. I've stopped wearing ponytails in public because of the tangles and buns get a little boring sometimes. Happy

I find that's the beauty of hair gloves. They prevent hair tangles.  I work as a nurse in a busy ICU and I'm constantly taking off and putting on my stethoscope over my neck that can cause horrific tangles. Then add the  daily humidity of 80% of the tropical climate I live in, and you get long, wild hair thats hard to work with. This heaven sent device protects my hair without driving me crazy by pulling on my hair.

That looks to be really great. Why is it that you prefer the cycle line, Sandy?

Hey, that's pretty neat!  It's kind of like the hair sock that Bikerbraid crocheted up.  I love finding new hair toys!  Grin

Are you able to wear your hair in a bun, sandy?  If you are, another way to keep it up & covered is with one of those bun-cover do-dads.  I know khrome has a pattern for one on the boards here somewhere.  I printed the instructions out to try, but it made me realize that I needed to brush up on my basic stitches first before attempting a pattern again.  Does anyone know what topic that pattern's under, I can't find it for the life of me!!!

Hi everybody! Thanks for your responses!  To reply to NaturalRogue why I like the cycle line, I guess its because they look sort of sexy and not cutsey-wootsey like young girl hair accessories. Not to put those products down, but lets say, I'm not in my teens anymore ..., I'm in my fabulous forties.  For Maggie, thanks for writing, my delicate scalp can't take buns anymore due to the weight of my hair, I've tried high buns, low buns they all don't work anymore. Hair socks sound interesting. The only problem is I do not have the crocheting talent that I wish I had. If anyone has tried a similar product please let me know.

Wow, sandy...you must have thick hair to have so much weight to it, my hair is on the thin side, so I never have that problem.  Are you able to french braid your hair?  I don't think that should pull down on your head too much...just thinking here!

Well, anyway...I'm glad you found a hair item that works for you, that can make all the difference in the world sometimes when it comes to work.  You can't spend all day fussing with your hair when you've got things to do!

Those are cool - and functional which is nice!  Thanks for sharing the link.

So does the glove keep from slipping because of the little hook that goes on the elastic?  Or is the glove snug enough to keep itself up?  The reason I ask is because my hair is straight, and kind of slick.  I think the weight of the glove might just drag the elastic down.

The hairglove I checked out had a little hook on it that you hooked onto an elastic that you had around your ponytail.  If you had thick and/or curly hair, the hairglove might stay up without the elastic, but I know on my fine, only slightly wavy hair, it would slide down without the elastic.
