Has anyone trie dout the Aveda products. Supposedly they are natural and organic, but on the pricy side. Another plus is that they support the environment. I would like to try their products , but I want to see if anyone had satisfaction with them before I invest. Lol.

I have tried their skin care. At first I liked it but shortly after starting my skin would not be doing well. I've tried more than once over the years w/the same result. If you're looking for organic skin/hair care, I'd recommend either Avalon Organic Botanicals (found in health food stores and grocery stores here in Arizona) or Louise Marie Longhair (
www.hairgasm.com
).

I believe Strawberryfine has tried Aveda and liked it, but someone correct me if I'm wrong. Some sort of sap moss variety.
They have a good "store atmosphere" and aura, it's definitely a place that does ethical and consistent business. They also have really nice customer service. I don't know enough to comment on any other aspects though!

I've used the Sap Moss shampoo and conditioner. They are a very "strange" product but are excellent at adding moisture to your hair. They are not a product you would use every time, but more of a deep conditioning treatment.
Their products are pricey and I've found other products that work just as well for less.

I've tried Aveda's Curessence(sp?) shampoo and Hair Detoxifier shampoo. The Curessence was good, but the detoxifier was too harsh--it has ammonium lauryl sulfate which is really strong.
I'm with BB on this one. There's other brands that are cheaper and are as good as Aveda. Anyway, if you read the ingredients on the back of the bottles, the shampoos aren't 100% natural/organic.

The Cherry-Almond Bark conditioner is quite good.
If your hair is in good condition already, you may only need to use it once every week/two weeks. This will help cut down on cost.
