Burt's Bees

Has anyone used Burt's Bees Avocado Butter Hair Treatment?

I was thinking about buying one of the head to toe starter kits and trying it out.

I was wondering the same thing, I was thinking about trying it myself.  I hope someone replies.

This is off topic but I really like Burt's Bees Garden Tomato complexion soap Smiley.  Yes, it smells just like tomatoes and is helping to clear up my skin!

In regards to the Avocodo Butter Hair Treatment. . . I have seen it but I was not aware that it is a pre-shampoo treatment.  It seems really interesting though.  You can check ou the ingredients and read a ton of reviews on it here http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=52787&catid=47489&trx=28045&tab=1...

I tried it several years ago.  I found it to be overpriced, and not very helpful.  I was much happier making my own avocado mask, adding in coconut milk and honey.  I found that the Burt's Bees product really required a lot to get good coverage, because it didn't have a good consistency.

I really didn't like it. It didn't do anything at all for my hair and I followed the directions to the letter. I think it may be that I just need more moisture than other hair types but it left my hair feeling slightly sticky and crunchy.

I would go for the starters kit though, I loved everything else in it.

I didn't like Burt's Bees either. It  cleaned my hair too much. What i mean by that is it stripped all the oils from my hair and left my hair dry and lifeless. It took me about two weeks and some heavy conditioning treatments to get my hair back to normal. However, I am a fan of the rosemary shampoo bar, but I only use it once a week or less since it cleans so deeply.

No, I don't like Burt's Bee either--very pricey and doesn't work very well.  The only product they make that I like is the Blemish Stick-$7 here but generally gets rid of my blimish in a day or two

I used teh avocado hair butter. It was good o leave a little in for a hair balm. However ti was too hevay a conditioner to wahs out entirely. As a result my hair looked a little oily. It just seems to heavy, but it has a nice smel l.
I love their tinted lip balm. Wink
