Is this right?
Aug 10th, 2005 at 12:34am

I have been doing the CWC for about a week now, and I was wondering if my routine sounds like any of you guys.

I wet my hair down and then I condition the length with Bio Restortive 3 Minute Treatment Cream. Then I wash my roots with Bio Restortive Shampoo. I rinse all that out, and then I put a mixture of Bio Restortive 3 Minute Treatment Cream, and Redken All Soft Heavy Cream on my hair and let it soak in while I do my showerly duties. Does this sound right or should I buy a "lighter" conditoner for the first C?

I haven't heard of Bio Restoritive 3 Minute, but it sounds like a deep conditioning treatment and might be too heavy. Depending on how your hair is behaving, you could use a lighter conditioner. If your hair gets lank, it might be a good idea to switch. Suave is a good (and cheap) choice. However, if your hair seems fine with the Bio conditioner then you can probably continue using it.

My CWC routine is Suave Milk & Honey on the length, washing the roots with diluted Nature's Gate Jojoba shampoo, and then rinsing. The second C is Nature's Gate Aloe conditioner and I do my other shower duties before rinsing that off. The Nature's Gate conditioner is a bit too light for my hair so I'm going to try a different brand when it runs out.

Everybody's hair is different so if your hair is doing well then it's a good routine.  Also what are your hair goals?

Mid-back length is my goal. The only reason I asked is because I didn't know if I was putting too much on my hair. It seems alot healthier since I have been CWC.

I'm a big believer in pre-conditioner.  I do admit that I believe the less synthetic or chemical type stuff is in there the better.

Oils and butters can be a great pre-conditioner too...g

Hi !!

You have the technique down, for sure!!  A lot of us do use a cheaper conditioner for the first C (cause we just spend too much on hair stuff otherwise Wink ).  I use Vo5 Rapsberry, Kiwi & Lime, Blushin Apple or Tea Therapy for the fist C.  Then I shampoo...and then use the more expensive stuff for the final C.
