I bought this oil called T Tree Scalp oil...and normally I wouldnt even bother with something like this, but after reading the ingrediants, I was kind of impressed. I only have one complaint, cyclomethicone. Here is a list of the ingrediants...
Olive oil, peanut oil, wheat germ oil, canola oil, sweet almond oil, castor oil, safflower oil, Sesame oil, Vitamin E(tocolpheryl Acetate), A&D?, cyclomethicone, tea tree oil, sheep sorrel, yarrow, slippery elm, sage, henna, comfrey, burdock root, golden seal, cherry bark, chamomile, jaborandi(heavenly hemp? lol), alfalfa, hyssop and fragrance.
I bought this in the ethnic haircare section at walmart...Does anyone see any reason why maybe I shouldnt use it? I hope not, it even smells nice!
Also, I dont plan on putting it on my scalp, simply because of the 'cones.

If you have a problem with silicones there is that cyclomethicone - the only potential problems I see are the fragrance and castor oil. Not that those are necessarily bad but you know the deal with fragrance sensitivities and castor can be very heavy.
It look pretty good to me ... report back after use

Looks safe to me, Atlantis! I'd do a little allergy test patch someplace on your skin.. (I usually do the inside of my forearm) just in case.. you never know what you might be allergic to...
as for the ingredients, I use slippery elm bark tea for sore throats, and hyssop tea for keeping my immune system boosted. Have you looked at an herbalist page? If I find a comprehensive website, I'll send you the URL.
Tea tree oil is for dandruff as it has anti-fungal properties. It also has a nice, foresty smell... well, to me that is.

I would think that cyclomethicone is somewhat safe. I have to use a lotion all over that was recommended by my dermatologist, and I noticed it contains that same cone. So if I can put it on all over, it has to be mild..?
BTW Atlantis, I like your new avatar!

I ended up trying this stuff despite being cone free for some time...So far I have had GREAT results. I only use a couple drops on my ends and then run my hands down my length. My hair is amazingly soft and shiny. It smells grrrrreeeaaat too! I would definitely recommend this stuff. Especially to those of you who like cones.
And thank you, Khrome...It was a bit smaller and more clear looking before it was stretched. But because I liked it so much, I just decided to leave it be, blurry and all.
