I Wanna Talk About My Hair!!!

I discovered this site a few days ago and found lots of ideas. Anyway, last week, I decided wanted to grow my my hair down to my butt.

I've usually worn it long, but I've chopped it off a few times.
Last time I cut it was 3 1/2 years ago, I went from chest length to my ears. Shocked

Well, it just got to where it was 22" in the back but I cut it down to 17" so I could start w. one length all around. I didn't take any off the front.
BTW. I got the info on how to do my own trim from here. Best trim I ever gave myself. lol Hair Stats in a nut shell:
Plusses
thick thick 4" pony tail.
wavy, just airdry abnd fluff with fingers ever so often. Haven't blowdried since last time I cut it short.
Minuses:
frizz frizz frizz.
split ends. dry ends, breaks easy.
I think I discovered the cure for that though. I'm putting shortening in my hair since I read about oiling here. (it works ) My outer hair feels soft, which it doesn't usually.The under layers always feel soft
I really loved what the vinegar rinse did for my hair yesterday. I've done that before though. otta do that more often)
I'm going to sit on my hair before die
