Jojoba oil
Jul 14th, 2005 at 5:28pm

Ok, here's the question:
Practically everyone on this board swears by jojoba oil and I want to try it. Where can I find it? Is it it's own product or is it within something else?
Also, does anyone have a brand of seamless comb they like and would recommend I get?
Thanks all
Meg

I have purchased my jojoba oil from Vitamin Shoppe online.  Here is a link to what they have to offer:
Vitamin Shoppe

Its most common use is for skin care.  If you have a health food or natural foods store or section in your grocery, you might look there for the oil.

I know there are other sources as well, I'm sure a few others will pop in here and give their sources.

I can recommend the Rachael Stephens #42, and the Mason Pearson rake comb. Mason Pearson Rakes can be found at the mp.Hairboutique.com, while RS#42 can be found at uncommonscents.com.

You can also find jojoba oil from Brenda at Mystifyyoursenses.com .

Happy shopping Cheesy

Well, I got some jojoba oil at a small beauty store in the mall. They sold hair and kin care products and when I asked about it they showed me not only that but a few other oils they had in stock. I've only been in there a few times, so I can't remember the name, but it couldn't hurt to check any shops like that around you.

I found jojoba oil in both a local health food store and at a local Vitamin Shoppe (it cost the same at both places but the Vitamin Shoppe was 4 ounces vs the health food store 1 ounce).
I like the Mason Pearson rake comb too.  I've also got wooden combs from Solano 2 and Sierra Legacy (my hubby is of the "if one is good, more are better" persuasion, lol).  I actually use all of them, depending on what I am doing with my hair, my mood, whether my hair is wet or dry.  One more decision to make in the morning when I'm running late for work ???....lol

As others have mentioned, jojoba oil can be purchased at most health food stores and on-line. I have even read that some have found it at Whole Foods Markets.

As for wide tooth combs, in addition to some of the excellent brands suggested, there are also horn combs. I bought mind from Heavenly Harvest, online.
