Searching For Hair Product (instant curls)
Jul 13th, 2005 at 3:56am

Hi Ladies!  This is my first post since I returned from vacation in Tennessee--got back on Friday, July 8.  Smiley  I'm sitting here at the computer while I wait for my hair to dry, and it's past bedtime, but.......... Roll Eyes

ANYWAY...while I was in TN my Grandmother was telling me about this hair product she saw advertised on television.  She couldn't remember the name or anything, but you just put this substance on your hair  and it curls it instantly.  Sounds too good to be true, of course...but have any of you heard of it?  Or TRIED it? If so, WHAT is it???

I know I've seen a shampoo that is supposed to give you curls.  A freind tried it and said it made her hair really greasy.

When I used to have perms, I would use a spray to help define my curls.  I'm not sure it did anything more than a spray of water would do.  It too seemed to make my hair a bit greasy feeling (but back then I washed it every day anyway).

Jessicurl has lots of products that are designed to "show off" your curls.

I don't think any of these really CURL hair that would otherwise be straight.

I have never heard of such a product...I don't see how it would even work. I have heard about something called Wash 'N Curl, I have never used it so I can't say if it works or not. Wash 'N Curl claims to help the hair be more "Curl Responsive". http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=91993&catid=11899&brand=7797&trx=...

Wow, thats an ugly link...Sorry about that!

I've seen that ad on TV,Too.  The curls on the actress look suspiciously like curling iron curls to me- you'll know what I mean when you see that ad.
I don't buy into it.  I don't think a shampoo could curl your hair if it's straight.   Maybe enchance the curls you already have.

Hi Christiana,
I happened to see this product when I was looking up shampoos and conditioners at the Abba site.  It sounds like what you are talking about but I've never tried it:

But I don't think this was in the commercial your grandmother saw - I don't think they advertise on TV.  Good luck finding your curls! Smiley
