New longhair dude...
Jul 2nd, 2005 at 11:44pm

A few months back my SO asked me to help post her picture here, and in the process I decided to let my hair go it's own way. Since this is the year I hit 50, I thought I would setup my options for that expanding clearing up top. I can do the ponytail thing with the rubber band now, and am wondering how far I am gonna let it go. Hoping for some advise from my sweetie soon!

Hi and welcome!  We look forward to hearing your progress.

I tend to lean towards the pony.  But not with rubber bands, as they can damage your hair.  You can pick up plain elastic ponytail holders at the drug store or supermarket for a reasonable price.

Howdy and Welcome dude!

Congrats on deciding to "do your own thing" with your hair.  As for your options - I prefer to see the natrual hair - no comb-overs.  (and I'll add, my hubby is quite hair challenged himself, with a very expansive cleared area on top).

As mentioned before, if you do the pony tail - be sure to use a hair friendly elastic - preferably a covered elastic with no metal parts to rip out you ever-decreasing number of strands.

[and the kitty kids are darling!]
