Ouch!
Jun 4th, 2005 at 8:04pm

Last night I was up in my attic, which has no headroom, and I walked into a piece of metal that had been hammered over a rod that was intended to hold clothes. It caught a lock of my hair at the scalp and yanked it up out of the bun an inch. It hurt so bad that I thought it had been yanked out, but after taking it down I found I hadn't lost any hairs.

Today my scalp is weeping oozing crusties. Ouch, I think I'll wait a couple of days to wash.

*wince Cry*  hope your scalp is starting to feel better

If you've got weeping oozing crusties you'd better have someone look at it closely -- did the metal cut your scalp?  If so then waiting to wash might not be a good idea.  And I know cold may not be the best thing for hair, but in this case it might be good for your scalp to keep the swelling down.

Sorry, the Dr. Mom thing always pops out Wink

It's feeling somewhat better, the swollen sore spot is smaller. I skipped the massage when I washed today. I think in a couple of days it will be all better.

I didn't cut myself on the metal. If I had, there'd've been plenty of bleeding.

Close call allaround.
