Ouch!

Last night I was up in my attic, which has no headroom, and I walked into a piece of metal that had been hammered over a rod that was intended to hold clothes. It caught a lock of my hair at the scalp and yanked it up out of the bun an inch. It hurt so bad that I thought it had been yanked out, but after taking it down I found I hadn't lost any hairs.

Today my scalp is weeping oozing crusties. Ouch, I think I'll wait a couple of days to wash.

* hope your scalp is starting to feel better

If you've got weeping oozing crusties you'd better have someone look at it closely -- did the metal cut your scalp? If so then waiting to wash might not be a good idea. And I know cold may not be the best thing for hair, but in this case it might be good for your scalp to keep the swelling down.

I skipped the massage when I washed today. I think in a couple of days it will be all better. I didn't cut myself on the metal. If I had, there'd've been plenty of bleeding. Close call allaround.
