A Random Thought...
May 24th, 2005 at 2:39am

I visit here a lot! I think I am addicted...and being that I am home EVERYDAY, wow!  Tongue

I really love reading about hair care and coming here helps me resist the urge to cut my hair which I feel almost daily now, being that I am unhappy with my color and my seemingly neverending split ends!

What I really came here to write about was, as I was carefully combing out some tangles...I remembered the days of dragging a brush through my hair while blowdrying on high so it didnt take so long. Not to be outdone by coating my hair in liquid cement A.K.A. Hairspray and then curling it into large ringlets on the highest setting. Only to be again brushed quite roughly to seperate my death curls. I am completely shocked I had ANY hair.

Like I said this was completely random, but I just though I would share! I am sure a lot of you will cringe like I did! lol

I'm sure many of us have had similar routines at some time in our lives.  I can add the regular perm to your routines.  It has been many years since I've done those things and my hair shows it!  I'm sure yours does too.

Even though I've only been here for a little while, I already look back on my old routine and shudder. My hair is looking so much happier! Smiley And it's actually getting thicker in volume. I checked with a ponytail, and since I've been looking after it better, the diameter has actually increased. I was amazed.

Before I came here, I'd tear through the tangles in my hair with my comb (plastic, teeming with seams), ripping out hair right and left.  No wonder my ends were in such bad shape I had to cut off 6". Sad

oh yeah, oh yeah.
Amazing we haven't all been bald since the advent of the blow dryer  Roll Eyes-- come to think of it since the advent of the perms.  My Grandmother, who died this year at the age of 99, had one of the first perms ever, and never stopped having them the rest of her life.  And complained about thin hair ??? ???
