I had a nice surprise on Mother's Day.  Hubby and I had an appointment to review the the survey of some land we are purchasing.  It would be a 2.5 hour drive to get there.  We also had responsibilities at church in the morning.  We went to church and then planned to rush right off to our appointment.  When we came home to quickly change clothes, I found flowers and a gift bag on the kitchen table!  Our son had stopped by and dropped them off for me - what a sweetheart!  The gift was a darling tin containing note cards with blue birds on them.  (I know it sounds dorky, but these are lovely note cards that I will use without shame).  The cards are made of paper that uses a plant fiber rather than tree pulp.  (My son knows that I prefer recycled or green products).  It was a very nice surprise.
