unusual compliments
Apr 23rd, 2005 at 4:15pm

Has anyone gotten an unusual compliment on their hair?  A sincere compliment, but because of circumstances or what have you, it was just a little odd?  Example:  a couple of months ago I was wearing my LL goldstone heart sticks (I love those sticks.  I never thought about it when I bought them but they go with everything).  A woman told me how beautiful they were, which is very nice and true, but we were at a funeral.  Of course it means Rapunzel makes some darn fine sticks to garner complements at a funeral  Wink

Anything like this happen to y'all?

*grin*

This has nothing to do with my hair...just something I witnessed.

One of my profs last year had knee-length hair. The first day of class, we were all sitting there silently, sort of stunned looking at her, and she introduced herself and then turned to write on the board.

Immediately one kid called out, "You have long hair."

The kid next to him shot back, "Duh."

She turned around, gave both of them an odd look, and then said calmly, "Yes. I've been told that."

The entire class howled with laughter.

*giggles*  Fun stuff.

Not really on my hair but a couple of weeks ago I had my hair up in a bun and was wearing one geisha pin, a pink butterfly one, and it would catch the light with every movement so nicely. So there was this lady in the office that came up to me and touched it (the pin, thankfully) with her hand and said "I'll steal this one off you! It's so pretty"  Cheesy
I guess this one really goes to Rapunzel though  Cheesy Cheesy

As for my hair I remember one compliment from back when I had it almost classic length, some years back. There was this guy that came to me and said "Oh, how I wish I could drown myself in your hair"  Cheesy Embarrassed Roll Eyes

I also love it when some guy I like will come up close and tell me how my hair always smells so enticing and divine! I really like that when it happens Cheesy Cheesy And it does take a lot of work to try to keep the horrid smell of cigarettes etc out of one's hair!

Now, how the heck do you respond to a statement like that??  I guess it depends on who says it...like, if
Antonio Banderas
said it....  *drool*
