How did you deal with your withdrawl?

The boards were down several days.  I know many of you visit the boards several times a day (I watch all of you!)  What did you do when things were down?

I waited and near went crazy looking at other forums.
I admit while it was down I must have clicked the link to come here at least a hundred times.

Yes, the computer-dependent nerd that I am, waited, and clicked, and refreshed.

I was afraid it was gone for good. Cry

hey everyone,

well i was finally able to leave the house while the site was out. before i was a longlockaholic and still am. when the site  worked i stopped going out to visit friends during the day, and i even cut down on my shopping( which is a good thing). i was able to go out knowing that the site is under construction, but i returned home as a mad woman first thing checking if it was back.  i cant live without you guys. please dont do this again to us. i love my online journal. Tongue i also checked longhairlovers and read some journals from other long hair sites. those sites dont compare to this one. this is my fave site.

I kept checking back, I was really scared the site was gone for good. Cry I felt better when it finally came up even though it didn't work, I knew then that it would be back.  Grin

Well, I kept checking the boards (and the shop  Roll Eyes ) -and hoped that everything was under control and nothing serious had happened at your end. Smiley

Missed my hair journal terribly (at least checking it daily has become part of my daily routine!). I visited other longhair sites as usual -but they are just not the same!

Tried to memorize everything special in my hairlife so that I can write it down once the boards come back. Didn't quite succeed in that.

I received a PM on another board, from a longlocks lurkmember who was wondering what was going on! So for my answer, answering questions about what's going on with the board Grin

Oh, and wondered what would happen if the threads all died, and we had to reconstruct our information from scratch.

The boards are backed up and typically can be restored in one manner or another.  But if you have information here that you consider "vital", I'd suggest printing it out or storing it elsewhere for your own piece of mind.  Smiley

Missed the boards!  Checked the boutique site and decided it was a temporary set-back (hoped).  Didn't have much time to brood though, I've been running back and forth to my parents' due to their health issues.  Best medicine for waiting patiently for LL to return.  So happy to see it back! Grin

I was really worried, like when a good friend of yours is sick or feeling "down" and you want to check up on them and bring chicken noodle soup (that you made from scratch 'cause you love 'em so much).
I had so many things I wanted to write in my journal and I'd go and check and I thought I'd remember (didn't, of course) and this happened numerous times.
A friend of mine died this past Saturday and I came to the boards and shop for comfort.  Reading the posts here just makes me feel good, like I belong somewhere other than in my daily life.  I was unable to get my LL fix.
All better now Smiley

I was on vacation and out of reach of a computer, so I missed the whole thing!

Long hair is considered bohemian, which may be why I grew it, but I keep it long because I love the way it feels, part cloak, part fan, part mane, part security blanket.&&&&Sir Arthur Wing Pinero
