Hair obsession
Mar 16th, 2005 at 12:51pm

Argh!!  Ever since I decided to grow out my hair, about 2 weeks ago, I started checking out other people's hair.  I mean, really checking it out.  You know how when you see someone you kind of take that person in as a whole, not really seeing the various parts that make them up?  But now...oh, man, it's become an obsession!  I seem to have this internal dialogue running through my head!  "Hmm, good hair...nice length but could be a lot healthier...ooo, BAD hair", etc.  I'm afraid somebody's going to catch me staring at their hair and think I'm a freak!!  *LOL*  Although, I guess it does make for an interesting hobby!!  Does anybody else have this habit?

Later,

I will admit that once I discovered the long hair boards online, I started "noticing" other people's hair a lot more.  I don't think I stare or even make myself noticable to others, but I do look.  Even hubby notices other people's hair more (even though he is hair challenged himself).

Don't worry, you will probably settle back on your observations a bit in a few weeks.

*giggles* It comes and goes...  but I do check out hair as a first or second thing to notice, at least on other ladies.  If I like it, sometimes I'll ask what she uses on it, if she's not looking too busy.  And if I occasionally am seized by the green-eyed monster while checking out a really, really nice head of hair...  er...  I'm not admitting nothing.

When I joined these boards,I started to notice others hair. It has "normalized" a bit though- usually there isn't that much to notice. Long hair is another thing- it is rare here, and good long hair sightings as well as ladies who have beautiful buns, always make my day.

Yes, I can share and understand your obsession with long hair. I find myself looking for ladies with long hair no matter where I am. If I find a lady with long hair, I try to get behind her so I can see the length of her hair. Long hair has always amazed me. One of my favorite things to do is to brush a ladies long hair..it is so relaxing to me as well as the lady being pampered.

I do have a tendency to notice long hair a lot more.  And appreciate the effort the person is putting into their hair.
