Keep greek_lady in Your Thoughts!

I was just chatting with greek_lady online and she had to run because she felt an earthquake!  Apparently the news channels are not privy to this information yet, as they've made no mention of it... they are still solely focusing on the horrendous shooting in Atlanta this morning, so I have no idea how bad the earthquake was.  Please keep her in your thoughts until we know she is safe.

I just heard from greek_lady and she is fine, thank goodness!  Apparently there have been two quakes, one 4 hours ago measured 4.2 on the richter scale.  Scary stuff!  =================:o

I'm glad to hear she wasn't hurt. I've never been through an earthquake, but they must be terrifying, my prayers go to anyone having to face a disaster of any sort.

Embarrassed Embarrassed I'm blushing deeply Embarrassed Embarrassed
Thank you for thinking of us. I wasn't aware of this thread.  Embarrassed
This was a small one compared to others and we are sort of used to them. But it was very very close to my home and to the surface so it had a very loud noise (not all earthquakes give out that awful noise) and it was sudden. Well they all are, aren't  they?
Greece is a country that many earthquakes happen to, all the time, we have a good share of faults crisscrossing.
The bad thing about earthquakes is that they do seem to work like dominoes, however much the scientists seem to downplay the fact. So we are kind of waiting where the next one will hit, after Antarctica and SE Asia.

Anyway, thank you again for thinking of me. I am so embarrassed I hadn't noticed the thread before to respond in time!  Embarrassed Embarrassed

P.S. I did have two different sticks fall off and break a bead or two, but this is absolutely nothing in the large scheme of events so I am not complaining. Smiley Smiley

Glad to hear you are doing well.  Sorry about the hairsticks though, but as you say not the biggest thing to worry about in an earthquake.
