Hi All!
Mar 3rd, 2005 at 2:47am

Well, I'm working on growing my hair to it's "terminal length". I should probably cut it shoulder length and start over but I'm not that brave Roll Eyes.

About every two years I cut it shoulder length and grow it back out to about my bra line. For the first time though I want to see how long it will grow.

I've never had the split end problem I do now, hence my comment about starting over. Ah well, I'll just keep trimming and see how it goes. My split ends aren't awful; I'm just irritated knowing they're there Undecided.

Anyway, I'm happy to have found this site and have already learned some things. I'm looking forward to picking up some more tips and hopefully end up with long beautiful hair  Grin.

I'm off to find out how to do a vinegar rinse; I think I'm in need of it considering I have never done one and my hair definately needs something.

See ya at the forums!!

Hello Bikerbraid!! Thanks so much for your warm welcome and for the replies to my posts. I really am looking forward to visiting here often and learning some new things.

I'm going to be doing my first vinegar rinse today and see how much it helps. I'm really beginning to think the build up of "cones" is what is causing my hair to be brittle. I've always been extra cautious (no heat) with my hair and couldn't understand why it was breaking off and splitting. I also maintain a very healthful diet (I do have a chronic health condition though that I believe will make growing my hair an extra challenge; I'm up for it and am giving it a go anyway! Grin).

I think I will  try the jojoba oil too!

Thanks again!

Hi there childrentreasures and welcome aboard!

I have been maintaining my hair at about bra-strap-lenght cutting it back when it grew longer, for the last few years. But lately I, too, decided to go back to really long locks and try for classic length (if my hair holds out till then, lol)
We are all growing it, so you are in good company  Smiley
