Greetings! New gal here!
Feb 19th, 2005 at 8:22pm

Hi! I checked out this website last night and knew I had to join!  Lately I have been tempted to cut my hair, but no more since finding this site.

Here's the low-down on my hair:

It is--
-- Fine (Feels like silk)
-- Normal thickness (Ponytail circumference is just shy of 3")
-- Dark blonde to light brown, depending on light
-- Stick Straight
-- Very prone to tangling, especially when wet
-- Prone to breakage - very fragile
-- 22" long from root to tip on back of head
-- 3.5" past the bottom of bra line
-- Goal is waist-length

From looking at the posts, I'd say my hair sounds the most like UP_Lisa's.

Just want to say I'm so glad there are others out there who love long hair.  I have been discouraged by many from having long hair, because my hair is so fine and straight.  I am thrilled that there are ladies here who have fine hair, yet it looks lovely long. (Bikerbraid comes to mind.)  Thank you all for being here!

hello & welcome  Cheesy

i have rather straight and fine hair too. there's a very easy trick for creating more volume (and less tangles): sleep with a braid! even if you would brush out the waves, the hair hangs differently, looks thicker (more air between the strands).

That's wonderful! Do you have any cats?  I have two.  One is black and white, and the other is grey tiger-stripe.  They like to lick my hair when I sit on the couch!  Grin

Welcome Ilovecats
Your hair sound like a lovely colour and their length is quite above average. I love long lovely shiny straight hair, even though I know wavy or curly hair look more voluminous. The grass is always greener.... I guess  Cheesy

Hi!

Your hair sounds exactly like mine; same colour, same thickness (fine strands, medium thickness), same length, stick straight, prone to tangling & breakage... we should swap pictures Smiley
