Becci's Intro
Jan 27th, 2005 at 12:39pm

Good morning! I am a new member having recently redisovered LongLocks in my "favorites". What a beautiful sight/site!

Living in the Tampa Bay area, we have long hot months and loads of humidity which pose their own unique problems. I am approaching 50 this year, with light blondish-brown, almost waist-length straight-fine locks.  Slowly they are turning grey, but most comment that it is a very natural progression - there's a compliment in there somewhere I'm certain!

I've only high lighted my hair once, about 8 years ago. My hair hasn't been permed in probably 13 years or so, is in mostly good condition. I seldom blow dry and choose to wear my hair in multiple braids and pull those into a bun sometimes. Recently I found that twirling my long wet ponytail gives it a beautiful natural curl (as it is very straight!) Hot curling simply falls out within a hour or so, so I'm gifting  (freecycling) my hot curlers to someone.

I've been busy reading many of the posts and have ordered some new hair products to try. Looking forward to getting to know everyone. Will post a photo as soon as I can.

Welcome, Becci!

Your hair sounds beautiful.  And you're right - this IS a great site!  I'm glad you've re-discovered it!

You'll find many of us admire a silver touch to the hair - my own being a dark brown is a bit more obvious - but I must admit to loving the shimmer.  Your hair sounds lovely.  Can't wait to see your photos. (I'm still trying to figure out how to do that!)

I look forward to your posts.

Welcome back, Becci!  It's nice to have so many long hairs on the boards who are also turning silver Cheesy.  The moral support is great.

Welcome Becci!  Your hair sounds so similar to mine (and I often gently twist my hair to get more body/wave in it too!).  I look forward to hearing from you more.

A tad late, but...
WELCOME BECCI!

It's always great to have new folks on board. You're going to love our little nook in the wall.
