Quattro Steel Stix for Wet Bunning?
Jan 8th, 2005 at 4:29pm

Has anyone used these?

Also, I'm just guessing, but using LL HairStix in wet hair is probably not a good idea?

If I'm wrong, somebody stop me!

TIA,

SF

I have a pair of Quattro Steel Stix that I love to use when bunning my wet/damp hair.

LL sticks can be used on damp hair as long as they are the bone sticks.  I'm not sure I would want to use the DecoStix in damp hair or any of the sticks that have a paper underlay.   I would not recommend using the wooden sticks in damp hair.

Bikerbraid, to be specific, you'd exclude RapunzelStickx, Spiralstix, Decostix and FoilStix? Anything else?

Does anyone have experiences of Quattro's Shillelagh sticks? They look really interesting Smiley

The Padouk Shillelagh (sp?) looks a lot like a stick I got from Kevin Lomas at Ketylo Corkscrew Hairsticks-  I think the website is

ketylo.com

His are very nice and less expensive, but I do like the shape of the Quattro shillelagh stick; very pretty!

Bikerbraid,
Thanks for the info on the Steel sticks and on the LL sticks.

My LL sticks are bone, painted and lacquered so I guess damp hair would be okay.

Also, wouldn't DecoSticks be one you would not want to put in damp hair?  There may be others, but they are so beautiful you don't really mind.

Thanks to everyone! Roll Eyes

Yes. I would avoid using any LL sticks that have a paper or foil decoration under the finish, and any that are made of wood.  I'd use this same advise for anyone's sticks.
