Silk Sleep Bonnet

Has anyone tried one of these:

http://tenderheaded.com/sislbo.html

or their silk hair scrunchies?

My hair is so fine I'm not sure a silk scrunchie would not slide out of it.  I have some fake suede scrunchies that I bought locally that are soft and due to the texture they don't slide out.

I already use a silk pillowcase and I don't really think I could stand elastic around my hairline and the heat of wearing something on my head all night.  I think they are pretty though.

Maybe a super sized hair net would work as well.

Any thoughts?

TIA,

SF

I thought of buying one of those but opted for a satin
pillocase instead.  I did order a sleep cap from walgreens, but I only use it when I put conair's soft rollers in my hair.  I can't stand having the cap on my hair when I sleep-but that's just me.  I'm sure they would
be fine to sleep in.  I don't like rollers in my hair either, even
the soft ones.

I haven't tried it.  I got visions of having the bonnet slip around and over my face so when I wake up I'd be more confused and disoriented than usual in the morning  ??? ??? Shocked
I agree with you, SF about the silk hair scrunchies -- they would probably fall out of my fine hair. Tongue

That's all I need!

Well, I've talked myself out of this one.  Now what can I find to buy for my hair with the money I just saved on the silk bonnet and silk scrunchies?

Has anyone seen those scrunchies that are made out of fake suede cloth?  I have 2, I love them, I don't know where I got them or what brand they are.

I want more!
They were like Scunci, Conair, Goody, Vidal Sasoon or...
something! ??? ??? ???

TIA,

scrunchies are the easiest things to make, SF...

If you go to the fabric store - you're sure to find LOTS of hair-friendly fabrics - and I find the pajama elastic kinder and more forgiving for hair toys.... It's soft and with an 'easier' pull.....

and I'll agree - I've never gotten a silk OR satin scrunchie to stay in my hair - it just slithers right out!
(and though I did try a sleep bonnet once or twice - the image in the mirror in the morning - well - maybe in 40 years I'll go that route!  Even my grandmother won't wear them 'cause they're 'too matronly' to wear - goodness - and she's 91!)

but.... if you choose to make scrunchies - you will save even more - and - you can pick and choose your colors more readily!

good luck!
