Frizzy Hair

When I go for a day or more without washing my hair it becomes managable and just overall looks A LOT better. When I do wash my hair it turns into an afro and is unmanagable frizzy and it just looks bad, you can't do anything with it. When I don't wash it I can move and style it with my hands. I'm growing my hair and it is not LONG but its not short. Any help in what I can do so that when I wash my hair it is just as managable. I use Pantene Pro-V shampoo, conditionor, and Pro-V treatment, it is intended for straight hair but mine curls, kind of, in certain places on my head and a barber once told me that my hair has a curly texture but is straight, which she thought was odd. I would like to have straight/wavey hair.

I've heard a lot of people say that CO washing REALLY helps with the frizz. If you don't know already, CO washing is a conditioner wash only.. you don't use shampoo. Now, I'll admit, I've had no luck with CO washing yet... (I'm still trying!) but even if you mixed some conditioner in with your shampoo it might help tame some less than manageable hair.

It's light, makes hair shiny, soft and managable and one pump is all you need. My hair is thick and has wave everywhere except the top layer. If I don't use this stuff, I can't do a darn thing with my hair. Good Luck!

my hair is the same but i use the pantene 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner and then just stick it in a ponytail(i hate always having it in a ponytail but its the only way it won't look like an afro)

I SO feel your pain... Mine's wavy bordering on curly, and it dries into this huge FLOOF of frizzy puff. Shea butter's been good for the ends, and extra virgin olive oil on the length as it's damp, but not TOO much, or you end up with a slick.

I've used frizz ease serum (extra strength) for ages, and it works - BUT, it can dry the ends worse if you don't strip it off to wash and condition. I'm taking a break from it for a while to see if I can get my ends looking better... but the frizz is a killer

I tried your honey thing, and it cut the frizz to near nothing - total smootheness and oh-so-soft. Weird... here I was thinking honey makes your hair sticky Bar none the strangest thing I ever put on my hair, and one of the biggest sucesses too. Here's to the Sue Bee regimen!

Ditto on that "who woulda thunk". I've had amazing success with CO for controlling frizz. My hair dries differently on CO... it instantly goes from wet to damp, but the damp stays for ages. I think part of frizz is hair drying unevenly or in a corrupted way. ETA: CO somehow allows the hair to dry a little more evenly.
