Hair Sticks!!!!
Nov 21st, 2004 at 2:29pm

Can anyone give me good instructions on how to use hair sticks? I have some and have always had a problem with getting them to stay in the hair, or hold the hair in place. My friend got me a pair and I like them and she showed me once and I think i got it to work once, but not since then.

Here we go: http://www.dressytresses.com/hair-styles/
They've got a model with semi-long hair in the demo photos.
Have fun, Legomypago Grin Grin Grin (your username makes me smile)

When I first tried to use some cheap hairsticks, and had no idea what i was doing, I would just make a bun and poke the stick straight through.  Doesnt work. Tongue  To get a hairstick to stay, you have to use a 'sewing' motion and "stitch" the stick to your head.  I make a bun, poke the stick through the bun coil itself, down to grab some scalp hair (which is already pulled tight by the nature of a bun), and back up into the bun.  I actually think I got the instructions off of this site, longlocks.com.  if you look around I'm sure you'll find them. Wink
