Phyto shampoos-conditioners-looking for info
Sep 24th, 2004 at 3:36am

Hi All,
I'm looking for information, opinions, recommendations, etc. on Phyto shampoos and also their conditioners.

If you like these products, where do you buy them?

If you don't like them, what would you recommend instead?
I have to have shampoo-no CO for me I'm afraid.
TIA,
strawberryfine

Are you referring to Phyto Reflet by Yves Rocher?

Hi Rua,
Thanks for answering my post.
I'm not sure about this line; I know some of the shampoos are phytojojoba, phytocitrus and phytopanama- I think it is under the Phytotherathrie line.
Thanks,

Oh right, ok.

I must have something that's different. It was a shampoo given to me by a friend, and I tried it for the first time yesterday. Its made specifically for redheads. So far, it seems pretty good. You can buy Yves Rocher products online, actually.

Sorry, but haven't actually tried the product you are referring to. I haven't seen it in the shops out here.

I'm absolutely no help at all! LOL

Rua,
Yes you ARE a lot of help and I appreciate your posts.
I did some more research on the Phytotherathrie products and I wasn't interested enough to pursue  it.

But I am interested in the Phyto by Rocher for redheads!
I'm a redhead too and always looking for ways to enhance it!

So I'm off to surf, looking for this one!
Thanks, Rua!!!

Thank you! I'm glad I could be of some assistance. I've used the Phyto for redheads about 3 times so far. I think it'll help extend the time before I have to colour again!

For the phyto shampoo, try
http://www.yves-rocher.com/

It's pretty inexpensive!

Hope it works out for you! Let me know how you get on!

Thanks Rua!
I checked out the yves-rocher website and it looked VERY interesting.  Very reasonable prices too, I thought.
Thanks again! Grin Grin Grin

Oh great! I hope you like the products if you decide to get anything. They have really good lotions too.

Cheers!  Grin

I purchased PhytoDefrisant and Phytobaume rinse out conditoner. These products are great. There is nothing in stores like the Phytodefrisant, and the Phytobaume has changed my daughter's hair. You know how products claim miracles, like repairing damage? My daughter's hair is very fragile. She had white balls on the tips of her hair where it was broken. Her hair has none of those balls, and only a hair cut has worked in the past. If you have normal, regular hair, the products may be a waste of your money. They have been priceless to me. Hairboutique.com has free shipping on Phyto products. This is a reliable site. I get my order in three business days.

I like all of phyto also.  Phyto 9 is my favorite, it's a leave-in, which is supposed to be the heavier than Phyto 7, which is also wonderful but I like the full bang Cheesy.

Phytodefrissant really is good stuff - smooths and grooms without being sticky at all.

The shampoos are definitely good but I change shampoos almost every wash so can't really help much there ...g

the first product i ever bought from them was an awfully stinking stuff against fat dandruff ... yuk.

but i recently bought phytojoba: excellent!!! it seems to hydrate my hair more than most of the masks i tried (i am wondering what wonders the mask in the same line will do  Cheesy  )
it might just weigh down a bit the hair (as opposed to dishydrating volume shampoos that is, which i stopped using)

i found mine in a parapharmacie in france (don't think that helps a lot)

Thanks to everyone for your responses!

I am now using the Phytojobo Shampoo and Phytorhum (egg and rum) shampoos.

I'm thinking about the Phytobaume conditioner even though it has one cone in it.  It is the third ingredient listed and is called Trimethylsilyl Amodimethicone.

If I used something like this with a cone, how often should I use an ACV rinse and how?

TIA,

SF;
I'd suggest doing an ACV rinse about every third time using the cone product.  If it is heavily cone-laden, then the ACV rinse might need to be more frequent.  You'll just have to see how your hair reacts.

i bought Phyto 7 today and it's absolutely amazing and compatible with oiling (well, it's "nearly" only plant extracts and no silicones  Grin  )
