Biolage products
Sep 15th, 2004 at 3:37am

Do anyone like Biolage products? Describe your yes or no answer! I noticed that Biolage shampoo has no frothy lather. Is that a good thing or not?

Any other recs for shampoo and conditoner for thick, dry and straight hair? I have thick hair and as straight as a horse mane. It was slightly dry due to dyeing few times but not to the point of severe damage. I do need trim off ends as time goes on bit by bit.

Hi Aeryn and welcome!
I've not tried the Biolage products myself, so I can't give an opinion on them - sorry.  As for the lather, it is not required that shampoos create a big lather to clean your hair.  In fact, there are many people who use conditioner to clean their hair!

What is your opinion of the Biolage products?

Mane 'n Tail is a product that is frequently recommended by others that have thick, straight hair.  It was originally formulated for horses, but is now sold in with regular shampoos and conditioners as well.

I have got fine, straight hair and I like the Biolage conditioning balm a lot,in fact it's my all time favourite conditioner! It detangles very well and leaves my hair shiny & full of body  Smiley   I do not like any of the Biolage shampoos,I found them all  too drying for my hair. Sad

Bikerbraid- I've been away for a  week and just noticed your new avatar, your hair is gorgeous !  Smiley Smiley

Ooops. It's not Biolage, I misread the name, it's Biotera by Naturelle. I heard Biolage is better than Biotera but I never tried Biolage though.

I LOVE Mane 'n' Tail. My mum has thick long hair, and she finds this to be one of the best. I haven't been able to find it out here, but I'm hoping to pick up some the next time I'm in the States. It's the business!!!!

AERYN: You wouldn't happen to like "Farscape" would you? One of the main characters, Aeryn Sun has the most gorgeous long black hair....especially in the 4th season. For some reason, the combo of your username and the picture next to it reminded me of Farscape. Smiley

Aeryn: I like the Biolage conditioning balm as well
but like Anne Marie I don't care for the shampoo.  It did
nothing special for my hair.  The conditioning balm made
my hair fee soft and smooth.
Rua:  I also use Mane N tail in rotation even though
I'm a fine hair.  Have you seen their website
www.manentail.com? for ordering.

Thats really cool, thanks! Just lookin at the website now. They've got some other products I didn't even know about! (Hello, Herbal Gro Maximum! lol)

Only problem is, to get it shipped to Europe you have to pay a lot in shipping and custom duty tax which puts the price up an extra $40. *ouch*!

Still, it's good to know about. Either way, I might be flying into the States next month, so maybe I can get my hands on some then.

Thanks, ladies! You all have nice hair! Rua, yes, Aeryn's named after Aeryn Sun of Farscape series and Aeryn has such lovely black hair, like mine, but it's a medium brown at the moment. I'm a fan of that show! Thanks, I'll try Mane n Tail to experiment. It can be found at any Sally Beauty because I saw the products. The large bottle with orange and blue colors with a horse on cover, right?

Thats the one. It's brilliant! Hope it works out for you. It definately makes for shiny hair!

I'm such a huge fan of Farscape. Everyone has such cool hair. (Especially Aeryn....and as a redhead myself, I really love Sikozu's red locks too!)

How long is your hair Aeryn?

Hehe, yes, it's nice to meet another Farscape fan! Yes, Sikozu have rad hair as well, when it was down and curly. Mine is only at 22.5 inches. Not long enough at the moment!
