No-Rinse Shampoo
Jul 31st, 2004 at 3:43pm

I just found this No Rinse Laboratories product in my local drugstore while looking at hairtoys. (Hairtoy selection good) According to the label:

  • Soft, clean, manageable hair without water
  • Ready to use, absolutely no water necessary
  • Just apply, lather and towel
  • Hospital tested and approved
  • Leaves hair fresh, clean and odor-free
  • The choice of healthcare professionals throughout the world.
  • Used by NASA astronauts on all space shuttle flights.

Ingredients:  Water, triethanolamine lauryl sulfate, propylene glycol, cocamide DEA, fragrance, diazolidinyl urea, methylparaben, citric acid.

Directions:  Apply generously until hair is completely wet. Massage to a rich lather. Immediately towel dry with an absorbent towel. Repeat for heavily soiled hair. No Rinse Shampoo can be used as often as necessary.

The ingredients sound pretty innocuous. I think I'll give it a try sometime for a scalp wash when I'm desperate and have no time to do a regular wash.

Actually, it sounds like somthing our campers could really use this week.

I have that product, and for me it's not that great.  I think if I could actually get it all wiped off the hair it would be okay, but enough of it stays on the hair to make it greasy.  So I might as well not bother.

Maybe if I didn't have baby-fine hair?

I tried it on my face to see if it was any good at blotting greasies. I found it was quite drying.
