ive been using Dove "dry/damaged" shampoo & conditioner for a little while now and i thought it was great as my hair was shiney and felt soft.
HOWEVER, today i did my fortnightly S&D and i found the BIGGEST split ends ive ever seen! i havnt been doing anything else differently (except oiling but i only started that the day before last) so its the shampoo! grrrrrrrrrrr......by the end of the s&d session i had soooo much hair in my lap that i felt like crying luckily it hasnt noticeably changed my hair thickness or length. the half full Dove bottles have been thrown away and now i'm going to crawl back to my Pantene Sheer Volume which never gave me such a split end problem....*oh pantene, i should never have doubted you*
if Dove works for you then great but i'd use with caution...especially if you have fine hair like me. deary me.....

hmmm...it has been a while since i used a clarifying shampoo. i think i'll buy one tomorrow when im out. thankyou!
i think Dove isn't well suited to my hair....oh well...trial and error!

I've heard of using baking soda as a clarifyier as well.  I'd recommend conditioning afterwards to restore the hair.
