Thank you very much for your concern, Rapunzel, it means a lot to me  Smiley

Last Wednesday (the 7th I think) he had been in a car in Vancouver with his friend who was driving. My mother talked to him and he was fine, but an hour later we got a call saying that he had a heart attack and had been rushed to the hospital. By the time he got there his heart had stopped beating and it also stopped twice while they were operating, so it's nothing short of a miracle that he's alright now.

About 4 or 5 days afterwards, my mother had arrived in Canada to check up on him and he woke up (he had been on heavy doses of sedatives). He was very cheerful but he didn't remember having a heart attack at all, and he also had a false memory; he thought he had checked out of the hotel and was sure of getting on the plane back home!

On Wednesday the 14th he got out of hospital. Right now he is in the hotel with my mother and they will wait about a week until they bring him back home. I talked to him on the phone and he sounded absolutely fine and I'm very grateful that he's alright... it's times like these where you really believe that there's a greater force listening to your prayers  Smiley

Leia;
I'm glad to hear things are looking better for your dad.  I hope that he continues to recover quickly and you can see him in person soon.

Just an update...

My parents got home today! My father was clinically dead for 10 minutes and they had to put him on ice and paralyze him, fill him with morphine and he has bruises all over his chest from the hot iron they were pumping him with. He still has many clogged arteries! So I will have to make him exercise every day!

It's so good to see my parents back after so long...  Smiley

I'm so glad to hear your parents are home for you.  It sounds like it was quite an ordeal for your father and you are very lucky he is still alive.  I'm sure the recovery will be a bit slow for him, so don't push him too hard with the exercize just yet!

I've noticed her on another hair board the last few weeks.  I'm not sure if she has stopped visiting here completely or not.

Hi everyone!

Haha - I wasn't sure if anyone would notice I was gone! I was in London for 3 weeks for my summer vacation, and Paris for a weekend, and I just got home yesterday! While I was there I was lurking and keeping up with most of the posts, but didn't have time to reply any.

My dad is perfectly fine now, but my mother has bad osteoporosis  Sad seems one problem ends and another arises! But she never drinks milk so I'm going to have to make her have at least a glass a day!

Hope all of you are enjoying your summer!  Grin
