Went to the Antiques Roadshow in San Diego at the Convention Center yesterday afternoon.
Saw an older lady (65+) totally white hair - crown to tip - with a hip length braid. Lovely! |

It was fun, lots of waiting in line but really neat to see all the stuff people brought.
Was watching the show a few months ago and they said to get tickets you enter your info on the website for a lottery drawing and I won 2 tickets. That was amazing in itself as I NEVER win anything. So we were able to take two items per ticket. I brought a Vivika & Otto Heino ceramic bowl I bought at their studio in Ojai in 1995 for $60 and found out it's now worth $300-400! The other things we brought, a 10 x14 print, a Simplicity Sewing book from 1947 were worth a few dollars. But one lady brought in two 3' tall handmade ceramic canning/pickeling jars that she found out were worth $16,000! It's a good thing she was sitting down when they told her :) |
