Finally I though about this before the mud was in my hair. I tried to be as exact for comparison purposes. My hair was brushed out in the before pic, and I used amla in the mix so there are more waves than typical if I just used cassia.

La Diosa:Nope, I don't flat iron my hair. The top layer is much less wavy than the rest and if I brush my hair out, it looks very straight. If memory serves me, I had washed my hair but didn't put any product in it. I need to use product for curl definition or else it looks pretty sad and barely wavy. I don't have product in my hair for the second pic either, otherwise it would be considerably more wavy.

Wow, you're so lucky to be able to go from straight to curly without the use of heat.

I guess that's the one benefit of having waves. It really is very versatile. Oh, and the availability of products that work for my hair has vastly improved over the last few years.
