Title: Lisa hair blog 2010 Post by Isabelle on Jan 5th, 2010 at 10:32pm
Hi Folks and Happy New Year!
Sorry I haven't been around much. Been on Facebook playing games. I have not felt like writing in a while, was a bit depressed. :( But when I saw the note from the lovely La Diosa I thought I should drop by! :) In a nutshell I am doing fine, mind you my nerves are prevented from working so my Shrink has signed off on my CPP (Canada Penison Plan) So I am waiting for the interview with the goverment. I wish he did this years ago. I will then be granted 1000 a month for the rest of my life. Wish me luck. On other fronts we had a few scares...Don's father had a heart attack, he is find now. Don had surgery four weeks ago to remove a sebaceous cyst from his groin area. He gets these once a year so I was well versed in the aftercare. We were both angery as the doctor did a bad job and he bleed really bad. We weren't half way home and he was already soaking through. Nurse Lisa to the rescue! I rebandaged him and then gave him some Gator Aid which made him feel alot better (Canadian Heath care may be free but its no that great) Happly he did not have the wound packed. I would bandage him in the morning and change it before bed as well. Sorry if this is gross...:( I haven't measured my hair yet. Man I haven't cut it in a year! Oh, I need a trim. I gave myself a egg shampoo the other day. My hair is soft and nice but a bit flat. I hope everyone is doing okay Bye for now Lisa |

Good to see you again! I hope Don is healing well now, and good luck to you on your government interview! Glad to hear Don's father is doing well; heart attacks are scary. :(

Yay, I'm glad you're back, I missed you (((hugs))).
Hope everything goes well with your interview and works out okay. Sorry about Don's father. I'm sure he's glad that you were around. Wow, you haven't cut your hair in a year. :o I wish I could do that, not sure what my problem is. Anyway I'm curious to know how long it is now without cutting for so long. Take care, Lisa! :) |

Thanks Ladies!
Don's Dad is alot better. You know he's a really tuff old bird! He drove himself to the hospital! Don's been doing 12 to 14 hours shifts at his new job. He was let go from CAA because he did not have the proper liences to tow in TO. Well the flipping strike we had prevented him from getting it! So he lost his car(which was a lease from his old boss and his phone another lease) That was a month ago. He now works for another tow company and a better one too! So...ehhe I have place to myself most of the time!! My hair should be like 30 inches long or more...I hope! Oooooh!!! Kitty alert!!! This weekend we are seeing a lady who has a calico cat for me! Hopefully it works out and I can take her home. She is two years old...I did want a kitten but then again she trained and spayed. I shall keep you all posted! Lisa |

My cats rarely play with anything I buy for them. They prefer twisty ties, bottle caps and rubber bands!

Dear Hair Diary,
Well I am hoping 2010 give me more growth. I have not been on my Biotin as finding it is really hard. I've been using my Jason shampoo again as I found the Indian herbs way too drying for the winter. So I have been oiling with my speical mix and doing coconut leave-ins. Lisa |

Ziggy's favorite toy is a pipe cleaner and Jupiter's favorite toy is pretty much anything that can be thrown that he can carry back in his mouth (including a tennis ball, the rubber rings that go on the prescription bottles from Target and a plastic spider ring). Sweetie doesn't play much, but she does like to chase a string.

Title: Re: Lisa hair blog 2010 Post by MichelleR on Jan 14th, 2010 at 11:31am
My oldest cat's (Yoda) favorite toys are my hair elastics. If I take one out of my hair and put it on the coffee table, it will be gone in minutes! He longs for them and will stare at me if he sees me taking my hair down. Once I looped one around my fingers so it wouldn't get "lost" while I napped on the couch and I woke up to him pawing and chewing at it trying to get it off my finger! If he does get hold of one, he'll guard it like a momma cat with a kitten and growl at anyone walking by. He's so funny!

;D Yes, hairties. I was about to mention that. Also, pencils and shopping bags!

So much kitty longing! Your kitty is really cute. :)
My friend's kitties all go nuts for the plastic ring that's left on bottles of soda when you twist the cap off. |
Title: Re: Lisa hair blog 2010 Post by Isabelle on Jan 14th, 2010 at 11:01pm
Thanks Ladies! I love hearing your cat stories :)
Me and Patches have a little ritual we do. In the afternoon she gets brushed. I use a long fingered rubber brush. She loves it! So much so when I brushed her today she was drooling! I do one side then she flipps then I do the other then she goes on her back and I do the belly all along purring up a storm! I never had a female cat before and noticed she has pronounced teats. Perhaps she had a litter before she was fixed? She is such a suck! :D |
Title: Re: Lisa hair blog 2010 Post by Drear on Jan 15th, 2010 at 5:12am
I forgot about how normal it is for some pet owners to have rituals with their pets. My cats weren't ritual by nature except for the one who thought he was a dog. He's my mom's cat now but he's stopped barking some years back.

Dear Hair Diary,
I finnaly found some Biotin today! I found it in a very fancey health/vitamen shop! . I also found more of my favoirte Jason shampoo as well. I think I will do a coconut milk soak tomorrow. I got Patches some treats today: a lazer and some catnip. Needless to say she loved them and had a ball! Don mother is back in Canada again! She is here to get some surgery on her skin. We picked her up at the VIA Rail station tonight. She gave me a treat - a green back! I was so ticked and of course I spent it :) Anyway I am off to bed. Nity nite. |
Title: Re: Lisa hair blog 2010 Post by Isabelle on Jan 18th, 2010 at 12:22am
Dear Hair Diary,
Had a busy day cleaning and cooking and doing laundry. . Did the coconut milk heat cap thing lastnight and once more my scalp and hair sighed with relief. Kitty had a nasty hairball today (boy I am happy I do not have rugs). I gave her some Petromalt hair ball gel. I just placed some at the base of her tail and she licked it off, seemed to like it too. 8-) |

Congrats on your new cat, Lisa! How exciting! I love getting new pets. :)
I agree with everyone else, my cats do play with their toys but they get just as much satisfaction from twisty ties, the plastic ring around the milk cap and boxes, oh and cat nip. Right now, my Kat is absolutely addicted to staring at the beta fish I got over the summer. When I first got him she could've cared less, so her fascination occured totally out of the blue. ::) Cat's are so weird, yet so much fun! :) Enjoy your new editon to the family! :) |

Thanks so much! I found the only other toys she really likes are the ones with rabbit fur on them. :-? Also she is such a fussy pants! She will only eat Friskies food and the Party Mix treats. She will eat Meow Mix Market Mix cups but only the fish ones. Catz are weird! lol!! She has a habit that is very strange - she likes to lick Johnsons Baby Creme off my hands. I know it cannot be good for her so I gave the tube away to my neighbor. Lisa :) |

Dear Hair Diary,
Been reading up on divorces . And I have spoken to the ex, it was before x-mass on MSN. He is living in another town now and gave me a lame ass excuse for not giving me the money to start the divorce. He says he's broke and is living in his sisters basement and is her livin babysitter. Serves him right! Up in canada I know that after 2 years of non cohabiation I can go to a judge and get a divorce quickly. Mind you I do not want to ge jipped of money I am due. I am intitled to half his CPP (pention) and other things. I just a stressfull pain to get this all started. >:( :P |

Dear Hair Dairy,
Washed my hair today. I hate it when my hair goes all ugly around "that time of the month". Patches has been having a ball! She is very happy here and has staked out her places around the house including Don's chair lol!! Apprently the cat next door has been spraying around his place because of Pat...eeee! Looks like his mummy has to finally take care of him and get him neturned...silly broad... >:( Were all waiting for the snow....its strange...no snow and it's January... Lisa |

Hi All,
Yes! I am still around! I just got my internet hooked up after three weeks of being off line. :P I just moved to a better area. We got a 2 bedroom with balcany. This place is so big I do not have enough furnature so it looks kind bare. Found out I am an Aunt again. The ex's other sister had a little girl. Speaking of him he's going to the cleaners really soon...evil grin. My hair has stopped growning...oh well it still looks nice, a little more grey. :) Anyway I am going to bed :) |
Title: Re: Lisa hair blog 2010 Post by melusine on Apr 5th, 2010 at 11:56pm
Congrats on the new place. And the kitty. She is really pretty.
My hair didn't get any longer for 9 mos. The top and side layers grew, but the back didn't. It felt longer this month, so I measured and it was 1/2" longer. So don't worry, it will grow again. |

Congrats on your new place. I'm glad you're in a better neighborhood.
If you don't have enough furniture, you can always go with the minimalist look for now and add more as you go. ;) |

Exactly -- minimalist = less cleaning. 8-)
