I will admit it. I am a repeat user of the "view last X new messages" feature at the bottom of the main salon page. However, if you do this, and try to post a reply to any topic, you MUST wait 120 seconds before hitting "post", because apparently looking up the last X messages counts as a "post".
Is there any way to get this timeout reduced? Maybe to 30 seconds?   It don't usually type up a response in less than 30 seconds, but right now it's very easy for me to type a response to a post within the 2 minute cool-down period and have my post denied because I was "trying to overload the server".  :'(

I think that is the way the system is set up.  I'll double check for ya and ask the "powers that be" if there is any way to shorten the time. ;)

Ok, the "Powers That Be" have reduced the time from 120 seconds to 90 seconds.  I hope this helps! ;)

I'd just like to pop in here and say "THANKS!" for the new timeout. I haven't run into that pesky notification since.
